Manimal is the place to go if you are missing real southern bbq. It is my one must stop when we visit Seoul. I use their andouille to make gumbo during the winter. It is so flavorful and they never disappoint. We have had everything on the menu and even made room for their amazing banana ice cream at one point. Thank you guys for being awesome!!
I first attended Manimal during their soft open with a few friends, and tried all the available meats and some desserts, and we were really impressed by the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and of course, the unbeatable tasty food!
This was over a year ago, and I have been longing to visit again ever since, following them on Instagram/FB and trying to convince new friends to try it out. Finally, last night I got to revisit, although this time with a rather large group of 18 friends. I can say that it is probably not the best place to go with a huge huge group, (unless you go for lunch, and then you can reserve) but the food is better than ever and they managed to accommodate most of us on four different tables. I really respected their gender neutral bathroom, the work they have done with the best buddies program, and, as always, the meat is the best non Korean BBQ meat in all of Korea! I will be satisfied for days.
Your BBQ made us Texans proud. This is the best BBQ we have eaten on this peninsula hands down. Your rib meat falls off the bone, the brisket is perfectly smoked, your sausages are perfectly spiced, and your sides are all made fresh. We can't wait to return to indulge our taste buds to try other items.
